For more than 20 years, Terry Traktman has practiced law in the Bay Area and throughout California, representing small businesses and individuals in lawsuits, appeals and transactions. Since graduating from University of San Francisco Law School in 1984, with honors, he has appeared in both State and Federal courts, and argued before the Courts of Appeal and California Supreme Court.

Traktman has experience in a wide range of legal fields, including Civil Litigation, Appellate Law, Land Use and Real Property, Business and Corporate Law, Estate and Probate Law, Insurance Coverage, Class Actions, Public Administrative Law and Constitutional Law.

He has represented clients in many types of litigation and appeals: property owners protecting their due process rights against enforcement excesses by local and state public officials; real property owners in flood Litigation; officers and shareholders in business tort, fraud and shareholder disputes; and all sides in estate contests. personal injury, property damage and malpractice actions. He has been involved in complex litigation, including federal securities fraud and national consumer class actions

Aside from litigation, Traktman has considerable transactional experience: formed and advised  business entities, facilitated asset and share transfers; prepared wills, trusts and other estate documents; coordinated real property transactions; and represented businesses and homeowners in land use matters before municipal and county boards.
